Sweet porridge and lotus root: a popular snack before bed

Sugar porridge and lotus root is a common food in Nanjing snacks in the past. Its price is fair, warm and cool, fragrance is flowing and sweet. Therefore, no matter spring, summer and autumn, it has long been enjoyed by the local people as a snack before going to bed.

Method: add brown sugar when the rice is half cooked in the pot, and then add large section of lotus root to eat. Cut the section of lotus root into thin slices and mix into the porridge. The lotus root is lavender, dark brown and the rice grain is light green.
