3、 Tofu is rich in methionine, which can cause arteriosclerosis. Methionine can be converted into cysteine under the action of enzyme. Cysteine can damage the endothelial cells of human arterial wall, make cholesterol and triglyceride deposit on the arterial wall, and cause arteriosclerosis.

4、 There are many purines in tofu which can cause gout. Purine metabolism disorder is the key cause of gout. Therefore, gout patients eating too much tofu can easily cause gout attack.

5、 Can cause iodine deficiency disorders, tofu contains a substance called saponin, it can promote the human body's excretion of iodine. Therefore, if people eat tofu for a long time, it is easy to cause a large amount of iodine loss in the body and make them suffer from iodine deficiency disorders.

In fact, traditional Chinese medicine believes that bean products actually have some negative effects on the body, and not everyone is suitable to eat them often.
