The report shows that in the second quarter, didi.com received 10130 complaints related to passengers' drunkenness, which is equivalent to one complaint accepted by customer service every 12 minutes.

Among them, there were 364 conflict complaints (quarrel, fight, mutual assault, etc.) caused by drunk passengers, accounting for 17.6% of the total conflict complaints; Complaints of physical conflicts (minor injuries and above) decreased by 66.4% year-on-year.

477 complaints of verbal harassment or physical harassment (asking for wechat, vulgar speech, physical touch, etc.) caused by passengers getting drunk, accounting for 40.7% of the total complaints of sexual harassment. The report shows that the incidence of female passengers complaining about male drivers decreased by 42.9% year-on-year. In the case of drunken passengers, drivers may also become 'vulnerable groups'. In the second quarter, among the complaints of sexual harassment caused by drunk passengers, drivers complained about passengers, accounting for 97.7%. Among them, female drivers' complaints about male passengers caused by passengers' drunkenness increased by 2.1% year-on-year, while male drivers' complaints about female passengers increased by 103% year-on-year.

The reporter learned that didi launched the "report after drinking" function nationwide in August 2019. By July 2020, passengers had reported about 25 million drunk trips. According to statistics, the top five drunken reporting rates are Shandong Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Fujian Province, Guangdong Province and Hebei Province, accounting for 37.6% of the country.

Didi reminds that before the trip, passengers can add temporary contacts if they report that they are drunk. In case of abnormal conditions during the trip, the platform will give a safety reminder.
