Oral lichen planus should at least be regarded as having the possibility of canceration like leukoplakia. The reported canceration rate is 1% - 10%, but most of them are less than 1%. It can be seen from the above that although the canceration rate of oral lichen planus is not high, it has the possibility of canceration. After canceration, it basically belongs to well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. Therefore, strengthening the clinical follow-up is of great significance for the timely detection or prevention of oral lichen planus.
