Vital pulpotomy: under strict disinfection and aseptic conditions, the inflamed crown pulp tissue is removed, and the pulp section of the root canal orifice is covered with drugs to induce the formation of restorative dentin and seal the root canal orifice, so as to preserve the vitality and function of the root pulp. It is suitable for the early stage of young permanent teeth or pulpitis limited to crown pulp.

Pulpotomy: high speed drill is used to drill the top of the pulp cavity to reduce the pressure in the pulp cavity. It is suitable for emergency treatment of pulpitis and severe toothache.

Pulp extraction: it is a method of extracting all infected pulp with pulp extraction instruments under the condition of no pain after pulp opening.

Pulp drying: after the pulp is inactivated by drugs, the pulp in the crown is removed, and then the cross-section of the pulp is covered with drugs, so that the pulp is fixed by drugs and kept sterile for a long time. The apical foramen is gradually closed, and the periapical tissue can maintain normal function, and the diseased teeth can be preserved.

Root canal filling: it is to remove the pulp from the crown and root after the pulp is inactivated by drugs, and then close the root canal tightly with root canal filling agent. It is the most commonly used method to retain the affected teeth in clinic.
