Eyes are the windows of the soul, we all hope to have a pair of bright and moving eyes, but myopia is quietly invading our lives, in order to clear the world, please be alert to the following six factors.
1. Gender: female students are more than male students, the ratio is 1:0.8. The reason may be that women develop earlier, so women stop myopia earlier than men, but there is no difference in the prevalence of pathological myopia between men and women.
2. Age: for postnatal myopia, with the growth of age, myopia is increasing, and simple myopia mostly occurs around 10 years old.
3. Race: Han nationality, Dahe nationality, Jewish nationality and Arab nationality are common; in China, Han nationality has the highest prevalence rate, followed by Bai nationality, and Uygur and Kazak nationalities are less.
4. Eye type: the right eye seems to be more common than the left eye, and more myopic than the left eye.
5. Regional differences: rural areas are lower than urban areas.
6. Others: poor lighting; heredity; physique; systemic diseases;
Poisoning; other eye diseases.
