What is erosive gastritis

Flat erosive gastritis: a very shallow depression on the gastric mucosa covered with white or yellow lichen. It is also called gastric erosion. It can be diagnosed by gastroscope. It refers to the shallow ulcer limited to gastric mucosa, but the depth is not more than the muscularis of mucosa, which can be distinguished from gastric ulcer.

Gastroscopy can be divided into:

① Verrucous Gastritis: the gastric mucosa has a single or multiple round protuberance, with umbilicus like depression in the center, namely erosion.

② Flat erosive gastritis: a very shallow depression on the gastric mucosa covered with white or yellow lichen.

③ Haemorrhagic erosive gastritis: that is, on the basis of erosion, there are bright red or brown bleeding foci.

④ Punctate erosion: the erosive lesions are punctate and red.

Symptoms may be similar to chronic gastritis, with epigastric pain or discomfort, nausea, fullness, and severe hematemesis and / or black stool.
