Artificial leather can be divided into many types due to different synthetic resins, different types of substrates, different production processes, foaming and different uses. Here, artificial leather is classified according to the synthetic resin, base material, foaming or not, production process and application.
Direct coating and scraping artificial leather
The glue is scraped directly on the pretreated base cloth with a scraper, then the plasticizer is then gelatinized and plasticized, and then finished by the process of embossing and cooling. This method can produce all kinds of ordinary artificial leather, synthetic leather and foam artificial leather.
Transfer coated leather
Transfer coating and scraping method is also called simple coating and scraping method. The carrier used is release paper or stainless steel belt, so it is divided into release paper method and steel belt method. It is used to scrape the paste on the carrier with a reverse roller or scraper. After gelatinization, the base cloth is compounded on the material layer after gelatinization without tension, and then is plasticized, cooled, stripped from the carrier, and then processed to obtain the finished product. This method is suitable for the production of knitted fabrics, plain cloth, wovens or non-woven fabric based ordinary artificial leather, foam artificial leather and dry polyurethane synthetic leather.
Calendering method
According to the formula requirements, the resin, plasticizer and other compounding agents are measured, put into the kneader and mixed evenly. After being plasticized by the internal mixer or extruder, the leather is sent to the three roll or four roll calender for calendering into a film with the required thickness and width, pasted with the pre heated base cloth, and then embossed and cooled to obtain the finished product.
