What is Beigua

Beigua refers to the winter squash, a Cucurbitaceae pumpkin plant. It is native to Bolivia, Chile and Argentina in South America. It has spread all over the world and is widely cultivated in North and South China. Bamboo shoots and melons do not have strict requirements on soil, and sandy loam and loam are the most suitable. The main varieties of Beigua include golden melon, bamboo shoot, Indian pumpkin, white skin bamboo shoot, yellow skin bamboo shoot, flower skin bamboo shoot, Chimonanthus chinensis, white jade melon, etc.

North melon is resistant to low temperature and can be sown appropriately early. In North China, it is generally sown in mid and late March, planted in mid and late April, and listed from late June to early July.

The storage resistance of North melon is not as good as pumpkin. The storage period is shorter than that of Chinese Pumpkin. The storage time varies greatly due to different storage conditions. If low-temperature measures are not taken for most varieties, the quality will decline significantly or rotten melon will appear after 2-3 months of storage. (BeiGuaShiShenMeGua)
