A brief explanation of the difference between toad and frog

The appearance is different. The toad has rough skin, many pimples on the body surface, dark brown on the back and milky yellow on the abdomen. The frog has smooth skin or wart particles, with patterns on its back, green and white abdomen. Different from the venom glands, the retroauricular gland above the tympanic membrane on the head of toad contains white venom, and the frog is non-toxic. Different from the sound sac, there are two sound sacs on both sides of the frog's head, and the toad is silent. The difference between toad and frog simply shows that they have different habits. Frogs often inhabit rivers, ponds and rice fields, mainly in the grass beside the water, and sometimes lurk in the water. Toads like to hide in mud caves, under damp stones, in grass and beside ditches.

The food is different. Frogs take insects as their staple food. They also eat snails, snails, shrimps, small fish and so on. Toads feed on beetles, moths, snails and fly maggots. (GeMaHeQingWaDeOuBieJianChanShuiMing)
