The dividing point of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River

The dividing point of the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River is Hekou Town, Inner Mongolia. The dividing point of its middle and lower reaches is the taohuayu of "old Mengjin" in the previous textbook in the first volume of the people's Education Edition geography textbook for Grade 8 published in 2013.

The Yellow River is known as' China's mother river '. It is the second longest river in China. The Yellow River is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower reaches, of which the middle and upper reaches are mostly mountainous and the middle and lower reaches are mostly plains and hills.

The total length of the Yellow River is about 5464 kilometers, and there are two dividing points. The dividing point of the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River is Hekou town in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, while the dividing point of its middle and lower reaches is taohuayu in Henan Province.

Taohuayu was published in the first volume of the people's Education Edition geography textbook for Grade 8 in 2013, replacing the "old Mengjin" in the previous textbook and becoming the dividing point between the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. The name peach blossom Valley is named after the scenery of this place 'peach blossoms like waterfalls and red clouds floating on the paths'.
