Original title: the most admired man in the United States: trump tied Obama for first place
Gallup, the Gallup poll center of the United States, released a survey of the most admired people in the hearts of Americans on the 30th. Current president trump has been ranked after former President Barack Obama for the past four years, and tied for the first place with 18% of the votes.
Compared with Trump's first, this is Obama's twelfth. Michelle, the former first lady, was chosen as the most respected woman.
The poll said there were clear partisan divisions on the choice of the most admired male in the United States - 41% of Democrats chose Obama and 45% of Republicans chose trump.
Every year since 1948, with the exception of 1976, Gallup has asked Americans to choose the men and women they admire most. There were 58 times that the current presidents won the title. Among them, Truman (1946-1947, 950-1952), Johnson (1967-1968), Nixon (1973), Ford (1974-1975), Carter (1980) and bush (2008) failed to rank first.
To complete this year's poll, Gallup conducted random telephone interviews with about 1000 people over the age of 18 between December 2 and 15.
