Alibaba cloud plans to wholly acquire Jiuzhou Yunteng to supplement cloud's original security capabi

On October 31, according to the Beijing News, people familiar with the matter said that Alibaba cloud, a subsidiary of Alibaba, plans to wholly acquire Beijing Jiuzhou Yunteng Technology Co., Ltd., an identity authentication cloud management platform, and has signed a formal contract.

Tianyancha data shows that Beijing Jiuzhou Yunteng Technology Co., Ltd., the main operating body of Jiuzhou Yunteng, was founded in October 2014 with a registered cost of about 15.5 million yuan, and its legal representative is Shang Honglin, the founder and CEO of the company.

At present, the major shareholder of the company is Beijing Jiuzhou Hechuang Technology Consulting Center (limited partnership), with a shareholding ratio of 34.14%. Suzhou Qiming Rongying venture capital partnership (limited partnership), one of the investment entities of Qiming venture capital, is the second largest shareholder, with a shareholding ratio of 15%. In addition, Beijing Shenzhou Lvmeng Information Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned holding company of A-share listed company Lvmeng technology, holds 9.81% of the shares, and Shenzhen Dachen chuangtong equity investment enterprise (limited partnership), one of the investment entities of Dachen venture capital, holds 6.45% of the shares.

According to the report of Beijing News, before being acquired by Alibaba cloud, Kyushu Yunteng obtained pre-A round of ten million level financing led by Lvmeng technology in 2016 and 60 million yuan a round financing jointly invested by Qiming venture capital and Dachen venture capital in 2018.

A person familiar with the matter told Beijing news that Kyushu Yunteng is the first company in China to provide commercial idaas (identity authentication and service). After Alibaba cloud's acquisition, it will strengthen the unified identity authentication management service based on cloud, which will help customers quickly build a zero trust security architecture with identity authentication as virtual convenience.

According to the public information, since September 2016, Kyushu Yunteng has started to cooperate with Alibaba cloud to launch the API gateway token service on Alibaba cloud to achieve unified API authentication. In August 2018, it was awarded the pin identity security customization service provider.

According to the report of Beijing News, Xiao Li, general manager of Alibaba cloud security business department, has mentioned for many times that cloud based unified identity management is one of the six cloud native security capabilities born in response to the cloud, an important part of the next generation enterprise security architecture, and the foundation of building a zero trust system.

Recently, Alibaba cloud acquired Changting technology to provide customized security services for its large-scale government and enterprise customers. In this acquisition of Kyushu Yunteng, Alibaba cloud will also supplement its layout in terms of cloud's original security capabilities.
