The news that South Korea's 5g users are close to 4 million was disclosed by the Ministry of science, information and communication technology of the Republic of Korea. This department recently said that as of October, the number of 5g users in South Korea had reached 3.98 million, with an increase of 516000 users in that month.
South Korea launched the 5g commercial service for individual consumers on April 3 this year. On the 69th day after the launch, the number of users reached 1 million, which was 11 days shorter than that of 4G network from its launch to more than 1 million users. In the second week of August (August 4 - August 10), 5g users in South Korea exceeded 2 million, followed by more than 3 million on September 9.
From April 3 to October, 5g users in South Korea have reached 4 million in less than seven months, which means that the average monthly growth of 5g users exceeds 500000.
The number of 5g users in South Korea will increase by 1 million in November and December, and the number of 5g users is expected to exceed 1 million by the end of the year.
According to foreign media reports, the two months in which 5g users increased more in South Korea were August and September. Samsung launched the galaxy note 10 series of smart phones in August, including the galaxy note 10 + 5g version. In this month, the number of 5g users in South Korea increased by 900000, followed by 700000 in September.
