Achronix and bitware launch vectorpath accelerator card with speedster7t independent FPGA chip

Recently, achronix semiconductor company, a leading enterprise of field programmable gate array (FPGA) - based data accelerator and high-performance embedded FPGA Semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP), and bitware, a leading enterprise FPGA accelerator product supplier of MOLEX, jointly announced today that a new class of FPGA add-on for high-performance computing and data acceleration applications will be launched Speed card. The newly launched vectorpath & Trade; s7t-vg6 accelerator card is equipped with the Speedster & reg; 7tac7t1500 independent FPGA chip built by achronix with 7Nm technology. It provides the highest performance interface in the industry among the same kind of PCIe FPGA accelerators. These high-performance interfaces include 1x400gbe and 2x100gbe interfaces, as well as eight groups of gddr6 on-board memory with a total bandwidth of 4tbps, making the card an ideal choice for high bandwidth data acceleration applications.

Functions of vectorpath s7t-vg6 accelerator card

Designed for high performance and high bandwidth data applications, the vectorpath accelerator card has the following hardware features:

&Bull; 400gbe qsfp-dd and 100gbe qsfp56 interfaces

&Bull; 8 sets of gddr6 memory can provide 4 TBPs of total bandwidth

&Bull; 1 set of DDR4 memory with error checking and correction (ECC) function and operating frequency of 2666mhz

&Bull; meets PCIe requirements and is certified

&Bull; speedster7t FPGA chip integrates two-dimensional on-chip network (NOC) with a bandwidth of 20 TBPs

&6 input lookup table (LUT) for bull; 692k

&Bull; 40K int8 MAC provides more than 80 tons of computing power

&Bull; oculink & ndash; 4-channel PCIe Gen 4 connector for expansion cards

The vectorpath accelerator card includes a complete set of ACE development tools of achronix, as well as bitware's baseboard management controller and development kit, including API, PCIe driver, diagnostic self-test and application example design, to provide a fast, out of the box experience. The vectorpath s7t-vg6 accelerator card, designed for prototype design and mass production applications, enables designers to process a large amount of data, which is impossible for previous generations of FPGA.

The 'vectorpath accelerator card provides a platform for rapid development of artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI / ml), network and data acceleration applications using achronix's new speedster7t FPGA chip. Robert Blake, President and CEO of achronix semiconductor, said: 'we are pleased to work with bitware, a leading player in the FPGA based PCIe card market. They have deep expertise in the design, manufacturing and support of FPGA based PCIe boards and solutions, which can provide a world-class platform for our customers to accelerate the development and deployment of a series of exciting and new computing tasks. '

Bitware has a long history of successfully developing and designing cutting-edge technologies for high-performance applications. Jeff milrod, President of bitware said: 'the cooperation with achronix makes full use of the advantages of bitware and achronix, so customers will get huge, out of the box advantages, and can take advantage of various advanced functions of speedster7t FPGA chip. '

The speedster7t FPGA family chips introduced earlier this year provide new performance and adaptability for high bandwidth data acceleration applications. It has a revolutionary 2D NOC with a bandwidth capacity of more than 20 TBPs. It can move data from high-speed interface to FPGA logic architecture or across FPGA logic architecture. The 2D NOC alleviates the data bottleneck by providing 256 bit one-way bus and 512 Gbps bandwidth for each NOC row and column in each direction. NOC's main interface is the industry standard Axi channel.

The vectorpath s7t-vg6 acceleration card is currently in mass production and will be available in the early second quarter of 2020.
