State Post Office: 38% of global cross-border parcels from China market

On November 27, Ma Junsheng, director of the State Post Office, pointed out that China is an important player in the global cross-border parcel delivery market. At present, the proportion of parcels from the Chinese market has reached 38%, and the industry supports more than 350 billion yuan of cross-border e-commerce transactions in the whole year.

He pointed out that in order to achieve a cross-border e-commerce service experience without borders, inclusive, personalized, high efficiency, safe and reliable, and environment-friendly, the postal sector itself must accelerate the accumulation of air transport and railway mail resources from the hardware level, layout overseas distribution networks and overseas warehouses, build an efficient and reliable supply chain system, and accelerate the cultivation and expansion of import and export business from the business level Exhibition, making cross-border channels more balanced and effective; developing convenient and reliable return and exchange solutions from the service level, establishing a localized customer service system; strengthening coordination with stakeholders from the security level, providing users with effective risk management; coordinating the flow of order flow from the data level, docking multi-level time limit demands. It is also necessary for postal departments to further cooperate with international organizations such as customs, civil aviation and railway in establishing alliances, formulating rules and developing businesses.

Ma Junsheng said that in 2019, China's package delivery volume is expected to exceed 63 billion pieces, contributing more than 50% to the growth of the world's postal industry, which has become the power source and stabilizer of the world's postal industry. In 2018, one belt, one road city, was signed by the State Post Office and the Universal Postal Union to strengthen the letter of intent to cooperate in the postal field under the framework of "one belt and one road". It promoted the formation of an international container mail delivery process approved by the postal, railway and customs departments along the route. The central European train (Chongqing) post office was normalized, with a total of over 4100 classes, and overseas sub points covering 11 cities and more than 30 cities.

In addition, Zhang Ronglin, deputy general manager of China Post Group Corporation, said that China Post Group Corporation has actively served the development of cross-border e-commerce market and has become one of the preferred logistics channels in China's cross-border e-commerce market, sending more than 3 million international letters and parcels worldwide every day. Up to now, China Post has sent more than 10 million pieces of mail to 24 countries in Europe, with a total weight of more than 2000 tons, through rail transport modes such as China Europe train and China Russia rail transit.
