A representative of the company told foreign media on Tuesday that didi travel will try to launch the 'didi Premium' service in parts of Tokyo later this month.
The models used include Tesla S-model, Mercedes Benz S-class and Lexus LS series. Didi hopes to expand its service to other major cities in Japan in the future. Tesla began accepting orders for the model 3 sedan in Japan in May this year.
Besides Tokyo, Didi also provides taxi services in Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya.
Last July, Didi travel announced the establishment of a joint venture with Softbank, officially entering the Japanese taxi market.
Didi Greater China app also launched customized Japanese roaming functions, including real-time translation of Chinese and Japanese text messages in the app and local Chinese customer service. Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan users can directly use the big China Version APP to use taxi service in Japan.
