South Korea's exports fell for 11 consecutive months in October, while exports to China fell by 17%

According to data released by the Ministry of industry, commerce and resources of South Korea on Friday, exports fell 15% year-on-year in October, the 11th consecutive month of decline, mainly due to the sharp decline in exports of semiconductors and petrochemical products, highlighting the difficulties of turning around in the trade recession sweeping the global economy.

Semiconductor exports, which account for the largest proportion in South Korea's trade, fell by 32% and petrochemical exports by 23%.

By destination, exports to China fell by 17% and to the United States by 8.4%.
