As of March 2019, there are six airports in Beijing, including Xijiao airport, Nanyuan Airport, Shahe airport, Liangxiang airport, Capital International Airport and Daxing International Airport.

1. The western suburb airport is a military airport. Beijing Xijiao airport is a special airport for the air force of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. Beijing Nanyuan Airport is 3km away from the urban area (South Fourth Ring Road) and 13km away from Tiananmen Square. It has a terminal with an annual handling capacity of 1.2 million people, and its flight area is 4D.

3. Shahe airport is a medium-sized military airport and a military flight test and training center. It mainly stops large military aircraft and undertakes the aerial exercise and material transportation of Shahe airport. Generally, it is not open to the outside world. In 2009, Shahe airport provided several venues for the mass parade of the 60th anniversary of the capital's national day and made outstanding contributions.

4. Liangxiang airport is a small military airport, belonging to the Navy's military airport, is the naval aviation flight test training center. It is mainly used in naval aviation, material transportation and military, and plays an extremely important role. In 2008, the cadets of Dalian Naval Academy formed a Navy Olympic aid ceremony model team to participate in the opening and closing ceremonies of Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, that is, they were stationed at Liangxiang airport for training.

5. Capital International Airport, located in the northeast of Beijing, is located in Shunyi District, but under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, 25.35 km away from Tiananmen Square. China is a large international airport with the most important location, the largest scale, the most complete equipment and the busiest transportation and production. Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) is not only the air gateway of Beijing, the capital of China, but also the most important aviation hub of CAAC and the radiation center of China's civil aviation network. And it is currently the busiest civil airport in China. It is also the base airport of Air China.

6. Daxing International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport is a super large international aviation comprehensive transportation hub built between Daxing District of Beijing and Guangyang District of Langfang city of Hebei Province. In 2040, seven runways and a terminal with an area of about 1.4 million square meters will be built according to the scale of passenger throughput of 100 million passengers and aircraft take-off and landing of 800000 sorties. The reserved control land of the airport will be reserved according to the scale of terminal (2050) with passenger throughput of 130 million passengers, aircraft take-off and landing of 1.03 million sorties and nine running lanes.
