Shanghai Disneyland Resort announced that from October 8, 2019, the resort will implement a new definition standard for children's tickets: children aged between 3 (inclusive) and 11 (inclusive) or standing between 1.0 m and 1.4 m (inclusive) can enjoy a 75% discount on the ticket price of Shanghai Disneyland. On the day of visit, infants and young children under 3 years old or 1.0 meters in height can enter the park free of charge. The new children's ticket standard of Shanghai Disneyland Resort will be implemented from October 8, 2019. Children's tickets will take into account age and height.

Since its opening, Shanghai Disneyland Resort has been offering special discount fares to many tourists. From October 8, 2019, the resort will implement a new definition standard for children's tickets, so that more children can enjoy the discount of Shanghai Disneyland tickets.

From October 8, 2019, children tourists aged from 3 to 11 years old (inclusive) or above 1.0 to 1.4 meters (inclusive) can enjoy a 75% discount on the ticket price of Shanghai Disneyland.

On the day of visit, infants and young children under 3 years old or 1.0 meters in height can enter the park free of charge.

The above definition of 'age' is based on the date of birth of the tourist. Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by visitors aged 16 and above.

From September 9, 2019, when tourists purchase tickets for Shanghai Disneyland on or after October 8, 2019 through the official channels of Shanghai Disneyland Resort, they will be able to use the new child ticket definition standard.

The guardian of a child or infant who is entitled to the child ticket discount or free admission (as mentioned above) according to the age must bring and present the accepted original of the child or infant's valid identity document (official identity document) issued by the government with the date of birth and photo.

For mainland Chinese tourists, the acceptable official identity documents include: People's Republic of China resident identity card, people's Republic of China social security card and passport

For mainland Chinese tourists, the 'official identity documents' that are not accepted include: household register (without photos), birth certificate (without photos), student ID card (non-government issued identity documents)

For other tourists, the only official identity documents that can be accepted are: tourists from Hong Kong and Macao, China: Hong Kong and Macao residents' travel permit to the mainland or people's Republic of China travel permit; tourists from Taiwan, China: Taiwan residents' travel permit to the mainland or people's Republic of China travel permit; tourists from other countries and regions: foreign passport

From October 8, 2019, tourists aged 11 years and below will also be able to enjoy child welfare at two theme hotels (Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel) or children's meal discount at various restaurants in the resort.

The preferential fare policies and standards for the elderly and disabled tourists will remain unchanged. Tourists who do not meet the above special fares or free admission standards must purchase the park standard tickets when entering Shanghai Disneyland.
