Leifeng Pagoda, also known as HuangFei pagoda and Xiguan brick pagoda, is located on Leifeng mountain on the South Bank of Xihu scenic spot in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. Leifeng Pagoda was first built in 977 a.d. by Qian hongchu, King Zhongyi of Wu and Yue dynasties, to worship Luoji Buddhist relics. When the pagoda was completed, it was named 'imperial concubine pagoda' because it coincided with the passing away of Qian hongchu's wife, sun, who was named 'imperial concubine'. After Xiaoqing practiced hard, she finally defeated Fahai. Leifeng Tower collapsed and Bai Suzhen was rescued. The old Leifeng Pagoda collapsed in 1924 and was rebuilt later. The newly built Leifeng Pagoda is the first colored bronze Pagoda in China. Leifeng sunset is one of the ten sceneries of the West Lake. It is one of the important scenic spots of West Lake.
