Sichuan is the most famous tourism province in China. Many people visit Sichuan every year. Shuimo ancient town is located on the Bank of Shouxi River, a tributary of Minjiang River in the south of Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, more than 70 kilometers away from Chengdu. Because it is located in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, the whole ancient town integrates the characteristics of inland customs and Tibetan and Qiang culture. The ancient town is surrounded by mountains and rivers. The clear Shouxi river flows along the edge of the ancient town and enters the ancient town through the bridge. At one end of the street is the old chanshou street with the style of Western Sichuan folk houses, and at the other end is the Shuimo Qiang city with the style of Qiang culture. The middle of the street is connected by a harmonious square, implying the harmony, unity and mutual assistance among the people of all ethnic groups.
There are many shops selling Sichuan specialty snacks on chanshou old street, most of which are old bacon and Shimo Douhua. There are also specialty snack and souvenir shops in other places. At the other end of Shuimo Qiang City, the tourism specialty of Western Sichuan Plateau is mainly dried yak meat and various ethnic ornaments.
There are not many tourists in the town at ordinary times. If it is not for weekends and holidays, it will be quiet and the consumption level will be popular. Although the ancient town is rebuilt after the Wenchuan earthquake and has a strong commercial atmosphere, it does not affect its unique style and temperament at all. Located in the transition zone from Western Sichuan Plateau to Chengdu Plain, Shuimo ancient town is relatively cool in the hot summer of Chengdu Plain, which is suitable for one-day tour around Chengdu.

You can take a self driving tour from Xipu to Chengguan Expressway to Yingxiu exit. You can also take a look at the Yingxiu '5.12' earthquake site. You can also go directly to national highway 213, via Dujiangyan to Yingxiu, and then to Shuimo ancient town.
