The main differences between Tanggula Mountain and nyainqen Tanggula Mountain are as follows:

1、 The geographical location of the two mountains is different

Tanggula Mountain is located at the border of Qinghai Province and the northeast of Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Its eastern section is the boundary mountain between Tibet and Qinghai Province, and its southeast extends to Yunling and Nushan of Hengduan Mountains.

Nyainqentanglha mountain runs through the middle and east of Tibet, which is the eastward continuation of Gangdise mountain. It extends to the southeast and connects with boshula mountain in the southwest of Hengduan Mountain. The central part protrudes slightly to the north. At the same time, Tibet is divided into three regions: Northern Tibet, southern Tibet and southeastern Tibet. In the southeast, it is close to Namjagbarwa peak at the great bend of Yarlung Zangbo River.

2、 The altitude of the two mountains is different

The height of Tanggula mountains is about 6000 meters above sea level. The highest peak, Geladandong, is 6621 meters above sea level. Tanggula Mountain (name of peak) is 6099 meters. Although the altitude of Tanggula pass is as high as 5220 meters.

Nyainqentanglha mountain is over 6000 meters above sea level on average. Its ridge line is located to the west of Dangxiong Yangbajing, with a total length of 1400 kilometers and an average width of 80 kilometers. Its altitude is 5000-6000 meters. The main peak Nyainqentanglha peak is 7111 meters above sea level.

3、 The names of the two mountains have different meanings
