He won many battles in Zhejiang and Fujian, which made the Japanese pirates frightened and made the southeast coast basically free of Japanese aggression. In 1568, Qi Jiguang was transferred to Jizhou to rebuild and reinforce the Great Wall. In 1583, Qi Jiguang was transferred to Guangdong Province. After that, he returned to Dengzhou, his hometown, and then died of illness. Qi Jiguang spent 60 years in the world. Most of his life, he defended the frontier, conquered the enemy repeatedly, and created a stable living environment for the people. His contributions will never be forgotten.

Before entering Qi Jiguang's hometown, the first thing to see was the mother child festival Xiaofang built by granite. It was built in the 44th year of Jiajing of Ming Dynasty and 1565 ad. it was built by Chaoyan to honor the chastity of Qi Jiguang's grandmother Yan and the filial piety and honesty of his father Qi Jingtong. The ancient archway is magnificent but implicit. The exquisite composition and exquisite carving are admirable. It is a typical representative of ancient sculpture art.

Zhizhitang is the place where Qi Jiguang deals with official affairs and reads and writes. Qi Jiguang once wrote the collection of zhizhitang. The name of "Zhizhi" expresses the master's sentiment of "modesty and self-reliance, obtaining auspiciousness in silence", which is in line with the meaning of "empty room to bring forth light, auspicious stop" in the ancient book Zhuangzi.
