As for when consumers can use 5g and whether they need to change their cards, Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile, responded that after obtaining the 5g business operation license, China Mobile will speed up the deployment of 5g network; by the end of September this year, 5g services will be provided in more than 40 cities, and consumers will be able to open 5g services without changing their cards or numbers, and the service scope will continue to be expanded in the future.
It is understood that the three operators have already built 5g base stations in major cities to carry out 5g outfield testing. In terms of mobile terminals, 5g devices are also in place. China Mobile has also obtained the use license of 2600mhz and 4900mhz frequency bands.
