Is feilaifeng far from Lingyin Temple? What is the historical story of Feilai peak?

Feilaifeng and Lingyin Temple are not only the religious scenic spots, but also the Grand View Garden of ancient poetry, couplets and calligraphy culture. Since ancient times, feilaifeng has been praised by many literati and scholars. Now, many people also visit this place. So, where is the "flying peak"? What's the story? Is feilaifeng far from Lingyin Temple?

Feilai peak, also known as the spirit Eagle Peak, is only 168 meters high and consists of limestone. Although the mountain is not high, it is famous. Yuan Dao, a man of the Ming Dynasty, once said: "the peaks on the lake should be the first to fly.". According to previous records, there used to be 72 holes in Feilai peak, but most of them have been annihilated due to their long history. Most of the remaining holes are on the southeast side of Feilai peak.

There is a beautiful legend behind the flying peak. It is said that one day, the monk Jigong of Lingyin Temple predicted that a mountain would come from outside. At that time, there was a small village in front of Lingyin Temple. For fear that the mountain would crush people, Jigong rushed into the village and urged everyone to leave. But people in the village were used to seeing Ji Gong's madness and playing tricks on others. They thought that this time they were looking for everyone to be happy, so no one listened to him. Seeing that the mountain is about to come, Ji Gong is in a hurry, and rushes into a bride's family. He carries the bride in the chapel and runs away. When the villagers saw the monk robbing the bride, they all shouted and chased him out.

People are chasing, suddenly listen to the wind, the sky is dark, 'boom boom', a peak flying down to Lingyin Temple, burying the whole village. At this time, people realized that Ji Gong was robbing the bride to save everyone, so they called the mountain "Feilai peak".

Lingyin Temple is located at the foot of Lingyin mountain between the Feilai peak and the north peak. The two peaks are facing each other, with beautiful trees, deep mountains and ancient temples. It is a simple and quiet tourist attraction with pleasant scenery.

It is said that Huili, an Indian monk who came to Hangzhou more than 1600 years ago, saw the beautiful peaks here and thought it was "hidden by fairies", so he built a temple here, named Lingyin.

Lingyin Temple is also called Yunlin temple. When Emperor Kangxi visited the south, he saw the north peak of the temple. He saw that the whole temple was shrouded in thick morning fog. It was very quiet, so he was named Yunlin temple. The great plaque of "Yunlin Temple" in front of the king of heaven is the Royal pen of Kangxi.

It is also said that Lingyin Temple was originally called "Lingying Temple". It was built in the early Tang Dynasty. It is said that more than 1400 years ago, there was a Bijia mountain. On the left side of the mountain was a phoenix rising sun. Originally, there were many thorns and no one was living here. Later, a monk surnamed Wu lived in the back of the mountain, collecting firewood and farming for a living. One day, monks were gathering firewood in the jungle of Bijia mountain. Because of the hot weather, they took off their Taoist robes, hung them on the branches and went to work again. All of a sudden, a big eagle came down from the sky, took his robe away, flew to the south, and now the Lingyin Temple fell. Wuseng Wang Kong chased South all the way, but saw that there were many trees and green willows. The green shadow is whirling in the South and the north end of Yiling tutuo; the whole landform is like a giant eagle lying on the ground. The Wu monks realized that they were instructed by the gods, so they prayed in this place and built a tent to build a temple, which is called "Lingying Temple".

Since then, Lingying temple has been flourishing and the temple has taken shape. One day in Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty, master Bibo said in the temple that general Yuchi Gong was appointed by the court to fight against bandits. When he passed by the temple, he saw that the temple was lofty and solemn. He went to the temple to worship the holy. He prayed that if he could fight against the demons and bandits, he would report to the emperor for funding to rebuild the temple. Yuchi Gong really put down the rebellion. When ban Shihui returned, Yuchi Gong immediately reported to the emperor. Li Shimin, the son of the emperor of the Tang Dynasty, was allowed to play, and Lingying temple was changed to Lingyin Temple.

The founder of Lingyin Temple is Huili monk, a monk from West India. In the early days of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, he traveled from the Central Plains to Zhejiang, and then to Wulin (now Hangzhou). He saw a peak and sighed: "this is a small ridge of lingjiu mountain in the middle Kingdom of India. I don't know where it came from? In the world, most Buddhas are hidden by fairies. 'then a temple was built in front of the peak, called Lingyin.

Flying to the peak, Lingyin Temple has become the scenery here. The place of cultivation must be a place of outstanding people. The ancient trees are towering and green. The paths under the peak are winding and some are covered with moss. It's very winding and secluded. It's unforgettable.

When you go to Lingyin Temple to see the monks chanting sutras, you can't help being serious. There is an invisible force urging you to become peaceful. With the sound of the South without Amitabha chanting and concentrate. It's said that when I come to Lingyin Temple, I must burn incense and make a wish. Then I will do as the Romans do.

Late autumn season to fly to the peak, only feel green from the eyes. The trees beside the road are towering and green. It seems that the rain is also green. Some of the trees on the top of the peak are dark, deep and thick. Some are blue, light and bright.

The winding path under the peak, covered with moss, is green to the crack of stone. Sitting in the cold spring Pavilion, I feel cool and relaxed. The stream beside the pavilion is Cong Jing, which is called the stream. In fact, it can't express the momentum of the running water. The stable place is also clear and clear. The flow is urgent. The water splashes like flying pearls and rolling jade. It looks very beautiful in this green shadow.

In Lingyin Temple, a thousand year old temple. Looking back at the Feilai peak, it's not surprising that there are no rocks, no trees, no ancient, no caves, no secluded and beautiful. Its landscape is quite different from the surrounding peaks. Wandering in the Lingyin, Feilai peak, a distant and deep Buddhist atmosphere, you can look for and enjoy the charm of Buddhist art, and really feel the rich historical and cultural charm contained in the landscape of the West Lake.
