After monitoring, recording and tracking shooting, the number of wild birds in Caofeidian has increased from 307 ten years ago to 334 at present, including 9 species of national first-class protected birds and 43 species of national second-class protected birds.

Nandagang wetland is located 70 kilometers northeast of Cangzhou, Hebei Province, on the coast of Bohai Sea, adjacent to Dagang District, Tianjin. Cangzhou is located in the coastal plain, where there are many rivers, more than 20 rivers converge into the sea, and there are many depression wetlands, among which Nandagang wetland is the most prominent one. Nandagang wetland reserve covers an area of 7500 hectares, maintaining a relatively complete natural state and biodiversity. This is an important ecological area in the eastern coastal area of China, which is well preserved in its original state. It is known as the "South Garden of Beijing and Tianjin, natural oxygen bar". According to the research of experts, there are 261 species of birds in Nandagang wetland, including 39 species of national second-class protected birds such as Red Crowned Crane, white crane, great bustard, Oriental White Stork and grey crane.

Hengshui Lake National Nature Reserve in Hebei Province is the only one in North China plain that maintains complete wetland ecosystem such as swamp, water area, beach, meadow and forest, covering an area of 283 square kilometers. Hengshui Lake Reserve is a natural reserve of freshwater wetland ecosystem type, with inland freshwater wetland ecosystem and national first and second class birds as the main protected objects. Hengshui Lake Nature Reserve is an important base for bird conservation in North China Plain, an ideal place for bird and wetland biodiversity conservation, scientific research and monitoring, as well as one of the important areas affecting bird population in China.

Hengshui Lake is famous for many birds. The clear birdsong is a beautiful note of Hengshui Lake Wetland and Bird Nature Reserve. There are 283 species of birds inhabited in the lake area, among which Red Crowned Crane, Golden Eagle, Oriental white crane, white shoulder eagle, black stork and other national first-class protected animals and more than 40 national second-class protected precious birds breed here.
