At about 10:30 a.m., there was a sudden strong wind in Nanjing, Suzhou, Zhenjiang and other places. At one time, the dark clouds oppressed the city, and the day was like night. Then, with the roar of thunder, torrential rain poured down, making many people on the road unprepared.

The data shows that the strongest wind force in the whole province is located in Jiangning area of Nanjing, which has reached about 10 levels and moved eastward rapidly at a speed of 25 meters per second. By noon, all 13 cities in the province had issued yellow thunderstorm warning signals. With the rainfall, the temperature of the whole province has also turned down sharply, and some cities in Huaibei, such as Xuzhou and Lianyungang, have dropped to about 7 degrees.

At the same time, Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal of strong wind in the sea area at about 10:30, and it is expected that in the next 24 hours, there will be strong winds of more than 10 levels in Lianyungang, Yancheng and Nantong sea areas. In view of this situation, maritime departments around the country actively organize ships to enter the harbor to avoid wind, and at the same time closely monitor the water surface dynamics, and timely release navigation information.

This morning (April 9) there was a sudden rainstorm in Nanjing, which changed from day to night, causing water accumulation in many low-lying areas. Tiexinqiao fire brigade received an alarm from Master Liu that there was serious water on Wenzhu road in Yuhuatai District, so they rushed to the site for drainage work. Due to the uncertainty of the specific location of the drainage inspection well, the firefighters searched underwater with their bare hands, and also used their hands to remove the branches and leaves blocked in the drainage outlet to ensure the smooth drainage. After half an hour's hard work, the water has been discharged smoothly. Thanks to the firefighters, they have worked hard! Thank you for guarding the city!

However, as the weather gradually turns clear, the temperature of the whole province will gradually pick up from the 12th, and the maximum temperature will gradually return to above 20 ℃.
