Zhao Maoyi, deputy squad leader of the second class of the fourth squadron of Xichang brigade, is one of the four survivors who escaped from the fire. At that time, he and ten comrades cleared the fire from the ridge to the hillside. Suddenly, the monitor heard the crackling sound, climbed to a very high tree, and saw that there was smoke under it. Dream of sacrificing little soldiers

At the last moment of coming out of the fire, Zhao Maoyi once looked back. An 18-year-old soldier was still in the fire, 'he saw his desperate expression at that time'. Four days after the incident, Zhao Maoyi dreamt every night that the little soldier was holding out his charred hand and said to him, "give me a hand.".
On a table in the public activity area of the dormitory of Xichang brigade, firefighters put up a lot of cigarettes to commemorate their comrades in arms.
After rushing out of the fire, Zhao Maoyi and the other three teammates called out the names of their comrades. No one agreed. At that time, they were already "brain blank", standing on the edge of a cliff, sliding down the cliff directly. When they reached the bottom of the ditch, they ran into another team, team 6, wumuli brigade, and successfully escaped.
Lang Zhigao, a firefighter from the 4th squadron of Xichang production brigade, once participated in the rescue of the missing members. He said that at the beginning of the search and rescue, he walked a long distance and didn't find anyone. He still had great hope in his heart that the firefighters who lost contact had fled the fire, 'I hope they have no electricity or lost their walkie talkies'. But in a short time, someone shouted at the bottom of the mountain and found the remains of other missing people. By about 7 p.m., all the remains of the firefighters were recovered.
The next morning, local villagers took stretchers and ropes to help pull the remains from the foot of the mountain to a more even and safe place.
