How many airports are there in Hunan? Where are they located?

Hunan is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization. It's said that Shennong family of Yan Emperor planted grains, woven hemp for cloth and made pottery here. Yan Emperor's mausoleum, located in the west of Yanling County, became the spiritual symbol of the Chinese nation. Emperor Shun, who lived in Mingde, experienced Dongting and Jiuyi mountain of Yongzhou, was the place of his mausoleum. Since ancient times, Hunan has been full of wooded hibiscus. In the Five Dynasties, there has been a saying of "Hibiscus country in autumn wind", so it is also known as "Hibiscus country". So, how many airports are there in Hunan? Where are they located?

There are five airports in Hunan as follows:

1. Changsha Huanghua International Airport

Changsha Huanghua International Airport (IATA: CSX, ICAO: zgha), located in Huanghua Town, Changsha County, Hunan Province, 10km away from the city of Changsha, is a 4f level civil international airport. It is one of China's 12 main airports, an international regular flight airport and a class I air port open to the outside world.

2. Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport

Zhangjiajie Hehua airport is a domestic tourism branch airport, located at the foot of Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. The airport was opened to traffic on August 18, 1994, covering an area of 154 hectares. Now it is a 4D level airport, with a runway length of 2600 meters and a width of 45 meters. It has 10 stands, and can take off and land 250 and below aircraft types.

3. Changde Taohuayuan Airport

Taohuayuan Airport is located in the southwest of Changde City (doumhu town), 12.2km away from the city. The airport was built in 1958 and opened passenger and cargo flights from Changde to Changsha in 1964. In 1991, it was expanded into a 3C level airport, and the flights from Changde to Guangzhou and Shenzhen were opened with yunqi, Anyi 24 \ 'and other aircraft.

4. Yongzhou Lingling Airport

Yongzhou Lingling airport is located in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. In 1993, with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, Lingling airport of the navy was jointly used by the military and the civilian. It was reconstructed and expanded according to the 4C level airport standard. Yongzhou Lingling airport was expanded in October 1996, completed at the end of 2000, and passed the general acceptance of the project in March 2001. The airport has opened two routes, Changsha Yongzhou and Changsha Yongzhou Haikou. Both routes are operated by donier aircraft of Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd.

5. Address of Huaihua Zhijiang Airport

Zhijiang airport, located in Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is 31 kilometers away from Huaihua City. The airport was built in October 1936. During the Anti Japanese War, it was an important military base of China and the United States Air Force, known as the "second largest airport in the Far East". During World War II, Chennault was the second largest military airport of the Allied forces in the Far East. Chennault and his American Volunteer aviation team "Flying Tigers" used it as a base to fight against Japanese invaders and made great contributions to supporting China's Anti Japanese war. Later, they kept the airport for the air force and an important base for Flying Tigers to support China's Anti Japanese war. At present, there is a display room of Flying Tigers near the airport.
