What's the date of the Peony Fair? Daquan scenic spot in Luoyang

What is the date of the Peony Fair every year?

Normally, peonies are opened once a year. It's usually April 10 to April 20, but now it's technically possible to postpone it to April 5 and may 5.

Growth habit of peony

It likes warm, cool, dry and sunny environment. Like sunshine, half shade, cold, drought, alkali, water, heat and direct sunlight. It is suitable to grow in loose, deep, fertile, high dry and well drained medium sandy loam. Poor growth in acid or clayey soils.

Sufficient sunlight is more favorable for its growth, but it is not resistant to summer sun exposure, and the temperature above 25 ℃ will make the plant dormant. The suitable temperature for flowering is 17-20 ℃, but it is only 2-3 months after low temperature treatment of 1-10 ℃ before flowering. The lowest temperature resistance is - 30 ℃, but in the cold area of North China, proper measures should be taken to prevent freezing injury in winter. The high temperature and high humidity weather in South China is very harmful to the growth of peony. Therefore, the cultivation of peony in South China needs special environmental conditions to appreciate the beautiful peony flowers.
