Admission price of Potala Palace: 100 yuan per adult; 30 yuan per person for visiting snow city, including the admission of treasure hall, and 10 yuan per person for visiting Jinding of Potala Palace.
2. Travel season
Due to the different seasons, the purchase tension of tickets for Potala Palace is different. The tourism department stipulates that may 1 to October 31 is the peak season, and November 1 to April 30 of the following year is the off-season.
3. Number of tickets
As a world cultural heritage of civil and stone structure, the capacity of Potala Palace is limited. In order to protect the Potala Palace, the daily tourist volume is set at 2300 people, that is to say, only 2300 tickets are sold every day, 700 of which are individual tickets and the rest are tickets for the travel agency team.

1. During the peak tourist season (may October), visitors need to book tickets one day in advance. Tourists can go to the cloth Palace Management Office at the west gate of Potala Palace with their ID card and get 'ticket voucher' for free. The next day, they can exchange tickets at the ticket office with this voucher. The ticket office is located in the cloth palace, and there is a time marked on the ticket voucher. If it is overdue, it will be invalid. Friends must pay attention to it.
2、 Before entering the palace, it will be subject to strict security inspection. It is forbidden to carry prohibited articles such as controlled knives, inflammables and explosives, such as matches, lighters, drinks, etc., which can be referred to the standard of prohibited articles for aircraft security inspection. Strictly speaking, liquid drinks are also prohibited (there is a simple buffet in white house square to sell drinks). Large package classes will be required to open for inspection. Do not carry them with you as much as possible to avoid delay.
3. When entering the cloth palace, we should respect the taboos of Tibetan Buddhism, especially not wear skirts. Tourists in skirts will be asked to change into trousers before they are allowed in. After entering the palace, please take off your hat and don't step on the threshold of the hall. Photos are forbidden in most parts of the palace, only outside.
4. Please solve the convenience problem before entering the cloth palace, because there is a toilet on the right side of the White House square at the top, and the other toilet is behind the cloth palace. There were no toilets on the tour route for nearly two hours.
