Jinding temple is located on Tianzhu peak, the highest point of Jizu mountain. Like other Buddhist temples, Jinding temple has its own, which is mainly composed of viewing platform, gate, Maitreya hall, Lengyan tower, Mahavira hall, etc. Among them, the most unique landscapes of Jinding temple are 'Golden Hall' and 'lenyan tower' and 'Tianzhu Buddha light'.
The palace of the Buddha
Located at the bottom of Jinding temple, JIAYE temple is the largest temple in Jizu mountain, with the ancient name of "Tianjian". Based on its location, there is a saying that "gadea lights the Golden Summit". It was initiated by Kuanlin, President of Wenshu Academy of Sichuan Province, and completed in 1994. It is known as the "ancestral hall of temples in the mountains".
The hall of Gaye worships the Buddha of Gaye. Generally, the elder on the left side of the Buddha in the hall of Mahavira is the Buddha of Gaye. The Buddha of Gaye and the Buddha of Ananda are the closest disciples of the Buddha.
There's a moral to this. It is said that the gold plating on a Buddha statue fell off. At that time, a believer saw it and wanted to use the gold to gild the Buddha statue again. This believer took the gold coins he picked up to find the gold maker and hoped that the gold maker could help him. But when the gold maker knew that this believer would rather starve than live in a good house but use the gold to gild the Buddha statue, he told him Tell the believer that he can pack gold for the Buddha but not for the money of the believer, and the maker of gold is the predecessor of the Buddha.
In the second life, both the believers and the gold maker had good results and had light. When Sakyamuni became a Buddha, they all became monks at the same time. So the reason why the Buddha's fists don't fit in his hands is that he once installed gold for the Buddha himself, and the light of his hands was very big. If he did, the light would be dazzling, and the people who came to worship the Buddha would not open their eyes. Therefore, it is convenient for Buddha to open, so that he does not have to hold his fists together.
Zhu Sheng Temple
Located in the hinterland of Jizu mountain, Zhusheng temple is the most complete and famous temple in Jizu mountain. Zhusheng temple is also the seat of Jizu Mountain Buddhist Association.
Jizu mountain and Cixi have a certain origin. Xuyun monk was an eminent monk in the Qing Dynasty. After the idea of repairing Jizu mountain was born, he went around and finally got Cixi's support to build Zhusheng temple. Emperor Guangxu also named Zhusheng temple as "national protection Zhusheng Temple". In 1912, Sun Zhongshan and Liang Qichao respectively gave Zhusheng Temple plaques of "drinking light just like" and "holy mountain Chonghui". Nowadays, two plaques are given Hanging on the double eaves of the Mahavira Hall of Zhusheng temple.
Entering the gate of Zhusheng temple, a pair of couplets in front of the gate, let me always remember vividly. This is the title of "step back" and "how many can you come back" by monk Xu Yun.
The architectural style of Zhusheng temple is the pattern of Ming and Qing Zen temples. The Buddhist temple is arranged in a longitudinal direction, hidden in the mountains and forests. The temple is built by using the natural terrain. In front of the Zhusheng temple, there is a free life pool. Behind the free life pool, there are two God statues on both sides of the niche, and Maitreya Buddha is enshrined in the middle.
In the temple, the buildings are resplendent, the environment is quiet and elegant, and the pavilions and pavilions can be seen everywhere, dotted with strange flowers and plants. The corridors are zigzag, the courtyards are well arranged, and the ancient temples are solemn and magnificent.
Why do Tibetans worship Jizu mountain?
First, it comes from the respect of Tibetan religious people for Jizu mountain.
Jizu mountain is one of the ten famous Buddhist mountains in China. It is one of the holy places of Buddhism. It is also the ashram of one of the ten disciples of Sakyamuni.
The second is the origin of Golden Rooster and Buddhism.
It is said that Jizu mountain is the place where the Golden Rooster chooses the site, and the Golden Rooster occupies a more important position in Buddhism. There is a saying that the Golden Rooster holds rice for the Buddhas. At the same time, the golden rooster is also the first one of the eight parts of Tianlong.
Third, Jizu mountain is the place where the first disciple of Buddha Buddha JIAYE guards his clothes
According to legend, Buddha's first disciple, kasaya, with his golden cassock and sacrificial teeth, came to the Huashou gate of Jizu mountain to preach Buddhism, and according to the Buddha's instructions before he died, he was placed in the Huashou gate and waited for billions of years. In the future, Buddha Maitreya Bodhisattva was born and assisted him to educate all living beings.
Fourth, Tibetan heroic epic
The heroic epic Gesar, especially the Golden Rooster Gesar, tells the story of King Gesar's pursuit of demons to Jizu mountain: at that time, the demons became a large centipede, and Gesar became a shining golden rooster, subduing the demons, and Jizu mountain got its name.
Fifth, the ancient tea horse road runs through Yunnan and Tibet, and the cultural exchanges between the two places have made a lot of connections for Tibetan people to visit Jizu mountain.
