What are the ancient temples in Fujian Province? Where are the ten ancient temples located?

Fujian is one of the areas with the largest number of temples built in ancient China. Due to its special geographical environment, a considerable number of temples have been preserved in Fujian. Some of these temples, based on the terrain of mountains and rivers, are built by means of mountains and rocks to integrate with mountains and rivers; some of them are hidden in the woods and bamboo forests, some even on the sparkling river. So, where are these ancient temples located?

1. Fujian Temple

Baizhangyan mountain, beautiful scenery and clear water give everyone a sense of being together and floating in the quiet time. Since ancient times, it has been called a paradise. The main cultural landscape is Ma Xiangu temple, a Ming Dynasty building, which is suspended at the half waist of the cliff nearly 140 meters high. When there is a cloud, it feels mysterious and complicated.

2. Fujian Temple

Built in the 16th year of Shaoxing at the end of the south, Ganlu temple is located in Jinji mountain of Taining. It adopts a unique structure of 'one column inserted into the ground, no fake tiles'. It has no nails, exquisite workmanship, superb craftsmanship, carved beams and painted buildings, and another pattern, with wooden structure temples such as' main hall', 'lip Pavilion', 'Guanyin Pavilion' and 'Nan'an Pavilion', which looks like a complex 'Leaf'.

3. Fujian temple [Pinghe Lingtong Temple]

Lingtong temple, located in Dafeng mountain, Pinghe County, is built in a natural cave, covered with rocks and facing cliffs. Only one 'ladder' path can be climbed. A hundred meters high in front of the cave, a trickle of water, splashing down, every drop like a pearl like jade; after the rain, the flowing spring and waterfall, like a curtain of beads hanging high, are immersive and amazing.

4. Fujian temple [Fuzhou Jinshan Temple]

The Jinshan Temple in Fuzhou is located on the Wulong River, surrounded by water and flowing continuously. The water flows around the temple and the temple floats with the river. Such a spectacle makes the Jinshan Temple a unique famous temple in the river in the land of Bamin. Due to the limited terrain, the temple has no lofty palaces and huge statues of Buddha, but it is small and exquisite, full of interest and unique among the temples in the province. There is Guanyin Pavilion in front of the tower and Dabei tower in the back. There is a fighting room on the left and right, with the name of "yiyizhai" on the left.

5. Fujian Temple

This millennium old temple is commonly known as "three halls and half". The temple is built by leaning on the mountain, facing south from the north, low in front and high in the back, surrounded by mountains, with unique geographical conditions; in the summer, the south wind leaps over the forest, sea and bamboo waves, blowing gently, making people feel cool.

6. Fujian temple [Luoyuan Biyan Temple]

Located in the Guishan mountain of Bili Township, Luoyuan County, Fujian Province, it was founded in the Song Dynasty and has a history of thousands of years. In the gap between the hillside and the rock, I suddenly saw a towering cliff, more than 100 meters wide. There is a natural cave at the bottom of the cliff to build Biyan temple. The temple is located in the surrounding mountains, under the sudden boulders, craggy rocks, uncanny workmanship.

7. Fujian Temple

It is located on the West Bank of Jinhu Lake and waterfalls in Taining scenic area. In the cave, there is Liquan temple built in Song Dynasty, which is a forest structure hall with single eaves and Xieshan style. It is exquisite and simple without tiles. The temple is built in Danxia cave. Between the main peaks and cliffs, the water of the stream runs through the canyon and flows down. The sound of spring is like thunder, the sound of autumn is like jade, and the water quality is sweet. So it is called "Liquan".

8. Fujian temple [Yongtai fangguangyan Temple]

The fangguangyan temple on the hillside of Geling mountain in Yongtai is built in the stone cave under fangguangyan. The giant rock is tile. According to the cave, the palace inside the cave and the Tianquan Pavilion in front of the cave are all built on the top of big rock boast, which is strange. Therefore, it is called "one tile". The Tianquan Pavilion in front of the temple is located on more than 100 huge fir stands, just like a castle in the air. It is backed by the rock of Qianxie, facing a hundred Zhangs deep gully, which is similar to the Xuankong Temple in Shanxi Province.

9. Temples in Fujian Province

Located in Penglai mountain, Penglai Town, Anxi. It is called Zhangyan mountain in ancient times. It has beautiful mountains and rivers, quiet and clean scenery, towering peaks, looping peaks, green and red, and misty clouds. Often in the vast fog sea, the beauty is like 'Penglai fairyland'. Qingshuiyan temple is built on the mountain with deep gullies under it. It is a three-story Pavilion. The red brick walls, grey tiles, dangerous buildings and heavy pavilions, hidden in the top of the mountain surrounded by green pines, green bamboo and smoke, are elegant and spectacular.

10. Temples in Fujian [Gushan Yongquan Temple]

Founded in 908 ad, Yongquan temple in Gushan of Fuzhou has maintained the layout of Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. Twenty five halls are cleverly distributed among ancient trees and mountains.

After entering the mountain gate, it does not go directly to the Tianwang hall, but passes through the orchid garden, nianhanliao, Huilong Pavilion, luohanquan, thousand Buddha pagoda, and extends to the temple gate with a stone path. The main buildings such as the Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, and the Dharma hall are gradually raised by nestling against the mountain slopes of the valley. The clever combination of the rock mountain stones into the layout makes people have the feeling of 'no temple in the mountain, no mountain in the temple'.
