It includes the mainland and islands, with a total area of 141.24 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 7 sub district offices, 19 village committees and 45 community neighborhood committees in Weizhou town and Gaode, Yima, East Street, middle street, West Street, Haijiao and Dijiao.

Tieshangang District governs three towns:
There are 37 village committees and 5 community neighborhood committees in Nankang Town, Yingpan Town and Xinggang town.
