The rainy season is from May to October every year, especially in July and August.

Lijiang is rich in specialties, mainly including Lijiang snow peach, snow tea, Pu'er tea, spirulina, Taliu black bone chicken, Yongsheng oil tea, Lijiang Gastrodia elata, Xiaoliangshan apple, citron, Ziman pear, Begonia fruit, Pipa meat, preserved spareribs, chicken bean jelly, glutinous rice sausage, Lijiang Baba, etc. There are many Naxi flavor foods, such as Naxi hot pot, chicken bean jelly, chicken stewed tofu, pig liver, butter tea, fried bait and so on.
