This afternoon, the Organizing Committee of the 2019 Shanghai International Film and Television Festival held its first domestic press conference in Beijing to announce the shortlisted films of the Chinese TV drama unit of this year's Magnolia Award and the full list of the golden Baron award jury. Among them, Dajiang Dahe, Duhao Hao and whether you know it should be green, fat, red and thin were shortlisted for the best Chinese TV series of Magnolia Award.
Liu Meiru, deputy director of the TV drama department of the State Administration of radio and television, said that nearly 1000 excellent programs from 52 countries and regions around the world were selected for the White Magnolia Award. After several rounds of competition, 17 Chinese TV dramas, 10 overseas TV dramas, 10 documentaries, 10 cartoons and 15 variety shows were shortlisted. These shortlisted works will compete for 17 professional awards in four categories: TV series, documentary, animation and variety show.
This year's best Chinese TV series shortlisted for the Magnolia Award include: big river, all very good, little woman under Zhengyang gate, do you know it should be green, fat, red and thin, Tiansheng long song, sesame Hutong, the most beautiful youth, returning home, the family in that city, and entrepreneurial era. Liu Meiru revealed that during the Shanghai TV Festival, an international jury composed of famous artists and experts from Chinese and foreign TV industry will conduct the final evaluation of the Magnolia Award in Shanghai. On the evening of June 14, the final winners of all categories will be announced at the 'Magnolia blooming' award ceremony.
