If you eat 300 lychees a day, you will grow up in Lingnan. Lychee is a delicious fruit that many people like. Litchi is very popular in summer. What should we do if we can't finish eating litchi? How can we keep fresh litchi if we can't finish eating litchi?

Litchi is delicious, but hard to keep fresh. Most of the time, the litchi that can't be eaten will change its taste and color the next day. The litchi that has not been preserved has the characteristics of 'one-day color change, two-day fragrance change, three-day flavor change, four-day color and fragrance disappear'. This is really a sad thing for me who love litchi. However, after many years of trying to sum up the experience and lessons, a fresh-keeping method of litchi is obtained, which is simple and convenient. Generally, there is no problem for 10 days.

The day did not eat lychee selection, throw away the bad, the rest of the healthy lychee branches cut off, leaving only a small pedicle on it. Don't pack too many lychees in a bag. 20-30 lychees are OK. Of course, it's better to add some fresh lychee leaves. After the newspaper is wrapped, put a plastic bag into the fresh-keeping layer of the refrigerator (that is, the layer where we usually place vegetables), and it's a great success. But remember to check the package in 2-3 days to make sure there is no broken litchi and keep the newspaper dry. This method can keep litchi fresh for about 10 days, which is very effective.

In addition, the following methods can be used to keep fresh:

1、 Put the fresh litchi into 2% sodium hypochlorite solution for about 2 minutes, remove the water to dry, put it in the carton and store it in a ventilated and dry place, which can keep fresh for 7-10 days.

2、 Soak the fresh litchi in boiling water for a few seconds, then pick it up in time, soak it in 5% citric acid and 2% sodium chloride solution for about 2 minutes, then pick up and drain the water, and put it into the freezer for storage, which can also keep it from rotting for 2 to 3 weeks.

3、 After removing the diseased fruit and small fruit, put it into a clean ceramic pot, and then take an appropriate amount of litchi honey (the honey made by bees picking litchi flowers in the flowering season of litchi, and litchi honey is sold in the places where litchi is abundant in the South). After boiling, add it into the ceramic pot (it is better to immerse litchi), and finally seal it, Sealed with wax and stored in a well ventilated and dry place, it can keep fresh until new year's day next year. During the Spring Festival, litchi is still fresh, sweet and delicious.

If the short-term preservation can also follow the following simple method:

1、 To keep litchi for a few more days without discoloration and deterioration, the long stem of litchi can be cut off first, and then the litchi can be packed into a plastic bag, tied tightly and placed in a cool place. If possible, the plastic bag containing litchi can be immersed in water. In this way, the color, aroma and taste of litchi remained unchanged after a few days. It should be noted that fresh lychees should be selected for long-term preservation.

2、 In order to preserve the color and flavor of litchi, the litchi can be sprayed with a little water, packed in plastic bags, put into the refrigerator, and stored at low temperature and high humidity (2 to 4 degrees Celsius, 90% to 95% humidity). Extruding the air in the bag as much as possible can reduce the proportion of oxygen to slow down the oxidation rate and improve the effect of preservation.
