According to the "Digital China Construction and development report (2018)" released by the state network information office on the 6th at the second digital China Construction Summit, the construction of Digital China in 2018 has achieved remarkable results, with Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Shanghai ranking in the forefront of the informatization development evaluation index.
In terms of information infrastructure construction, China's broadband network will be fully accelerated in 2018. More than 70.3% of the fixed Internet broadband access rate will reach more than 100m, and the number of IPv6 addresses will nearly double that of 2017. With this support, by the end of 2018, the number of Internet users in China has reached 829 million, and the Internet penetration rate has reached 59.6%.
In terms of information technology innovation capacity building, by the end of 2018, the loan balance of national science and technology enterprises was 3.53 trillion yuan, and the global ranking of China's innovation index rose from 22 in 2017 to 17.
In terms of digital resource system construction, last year, China's national population, enterprise legal person, natural resources and other basic databases were built, 71 departments and 32 places were fully connected to the national e-government extranet and the national data sharing and exchange platform, and the total amount of data sharing and exchange exceeded 39.4 billion times.
At present, there are still some problems in the construction of Digital China, such as insufficient innovation ability, imperfect industrial ecology, insufficient digital power release and unbalanced regional development. The next step is to further promote the construction of Digital China by strengthening the investment in basic scientific research and applied basic research.
