Compared with the current fifth set of RMB banknotes, the new 50 yuan, 20 yuan, 10 yuan and 1 yuan banknotes adjust the style of Mao Zedong's head portrait on the front, decorative flowers, horizontal number, main scenery on the back and denomination number on the front and back, add decorative patterns on the left side of the front, cancel the gravure line on the right side of the front and local patterns on the lower right corner of the back, and change the denomination to '2019'. In terms of coins, the new version of 1 yuan and 5 jiao coins adjusted the shape of the front denomination number, and the flower pattern on the back was appropriately shrunk.
It is worth mentioning that there are no 100 yuan and 5 yuan notes in the fifth set of RMB in the 2019 edition.
