In 2018, the National Health Commission proposed to carry out labor analgesia pilot work nationwide. On March 22, a Beijing News reporter saw on the official website of the National Health Commission that the list of the first batch of national labor analgesia pilot hospitals was released recently. A total of 913 hospitals nationwide entered the list, and 35 hospitals in Beijing.
On November 15, 2018, the National Health Commission issued the "notice on carrying out labor analgesia pilot work", and decided to carry out labor analgesia pilot work in the country, so as to further standardize the diagnosis and treatment behavior related to labor analgesia, improve the level of maternal labor analgesia, and improve the quality of perinatal medical service. According to the labor analgesia pilot work plan (2018-2020), the pilot scope is in general hospitals with obstetrics and anesthesiology diagnosis and treatment subjects at level II or above, maternal and child health care hospitals or maternity hospitals. According to the requirements of the National Health Commission, the pilot hospitals should further standardize the operation of labor analgesia technology, continuously improve and optimize the management and service process of labor analgesia, improve the awareness of medical staff and the public on labor analgesia, and popularize labor analgesia technology on the premise of ensuring the safety of mother and child.
According to the requirements, the pilot hospitals should improve the level of labor analgesia technology and the scientific choice of delivery mode, enhance the understanding of labor analgesia between hospitals and relevant departments, strengthen the health education of pregnant women and their families, and play a leading role in the demonstration of the pilot hospitals. Through the forms of assistance, cooperation and receiving further education, the labor analgesia technology should be introduced to other medical institutions in the Medical Association extension.
After the release of the list of pilot hospitals, the pilot hospitals will work in accordance with the requirements of the pilot work plan. The provincial health administrative department will regularly organize the training, guidance, evaluation and assessment of the pilot hospitals within its jurisdiction. The expert working group will do the corresponding technical support work well. From September 2020 to December 2020, the provincial health administrative department will organize the self-evaluation of the pilot work in its jurisdiction; the National Health Commission will organize the summary and evaluation of the national pilot work, publicize and promote the advanced models and experience, and further promote labor analgesia in the whole country.
