Is 5g license issued in the United States? Marks the beginning of 5g licenses in the United States

the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) held the first 5g spectrum auction in the United States, with 45 companies participating in the auction. Is 5g license issued in the United States? It marks the beginning of 5g license issuance in the United States.

The auction is for 27.5-28.35ghz (850mhz in total) of 28ghz band, with 3072 millimeter wave 5g licenses issued in 'County' units, including:

27.5-27.925ghz band (425MHz in total), with 'County' as the unit, a total of 1536 millimeter wave 5g licenses are arranged to be issued;

27.925-28.35 frequency band (425MHz in total), with 'County' as the unit, a total of 1536 millimeter wave 5g licenses are arranged to be issued.

The auction is divided into two rounds, each of which lasts for two hours. After the completion of the two rounds of auction, 2065 MMW 5g licenses (with a total price of US $4169396) have been sold, and 3072-2065 = 1007 MMW 5g licenses have not been sold. It is reported that the FCC will hold the third and fourth rounds of auction on November 15 (and later), until the remaining 1007 millimeter wave 5g licenses in the 28ghz band are sold.

There are 45 companies participating in the auction, but the FCC said it would not release the auction results for the time being. Only after all 3072 bomibo 5g licenses were sold will it be revealed which companies bought how many related licenses.

It is reported that the FCC of the United States will complete the auction of 5g spectrum in 24GHz band before the end of 2018. Specifically, there are 700MHz spectrum resources in two bands, 24.25-24.45ghz and 24.75-25.25ghz. It is planned to sell 2909 millimeter wave 5g licenses, each with 100MHz spectrum.

This means that the United States will release a total of 850mhz + 700MHz = 1550mhz spectrum of 28ghz and 24GHz for 5g commercial use by the end of 2018. In addition, the FCC plans to auction another three millimeter wave bands - 37ghz, 39ghz and 47ghz - for 5g commercial use in 2019.

After the first 5g commercial spectrum auction in the United States, Ajit Pai, chairman of the FCC, said:

"Today's 5g spectrum auction shows that the United States will continue to lead the world in 5g, the next generation of wireless connectivity. These radio waves are essential for deploying 5g services and various innovative 5g applications. And we didn't stop there. Through the 5g commercial spectrum auction in 2018 and 2019, the FCC will push nearly 5000 MHz spectrum to 5g commercial market in the next 15 months - which will be much more than the spectrum of ground mobile broadband used by all wireless communication service providers at present. '

Earlier in October, President trump signed a memorandum instructing the U.S. Department of Commerce to formulate a long-term and comprehensive national spectrum strategy to prepare for the commercial use of 5g technology. At the same time, trump has set up the White House spectrum strategy working group, which wants federal agencies to report on government spectrum needs and assess how to share spectrum with private sector users.

It is understood that at t, Verizon, sprint and T-Mobile are competing for 5g band.

As the United States, Finland and other countries have begun to allocate or sell 5g related frequency bands, the Minister of industry and information technology of China previously said that China's deployment in the 5g era will be synchronized with the international. It is expected that by the end of the year, the division and distribution results of 5g frequency bands in China will be released accordingly.

At present, the 5g spectrum division of three major operators in China is as follows: China Telecom and China Unicom take 100MHz spectrum of 3.5GHz frequency band respectively; China Mobile takes 160MHz spectrum of 2.6GHz frequency band.
