Huawei's 5g dynamic has always been the focus of users. Huawei held a 5g conference in Beijing today, January 24. Ding Yun, executive director of Huawei and President of BG operation, announced in the keynote speech that Huawei launched the industry's first 5g base station core chip, Tiangang chip.
"5g and AI are the hottest words in the past year". Ding Yun said that Huawei has made many achievements in the past year: in MWC last year, it released 5g end-to-end solutions; on October 10 last year, it released AI chips and solutions with the highest performance and the lowest power consumption; in the coming Spring Festival 2019, Huawei will also use 5g technology to broadcast 4K Spring Festival Gala live.
Ding Yun revealed that up to now, Huawei has obtained 30 5g contracts and 5g has delivered 25000 base stations in total.
Today, Huawei officially released the industry's first 5g oriented chip, Tiangang chip. Ding Yun said that Tiangang chip has super high integration and super computing power, which is about 2.5 times higher than the previous chip.
"4G changes life, 5g, Huawei thinks it will make life better," Ding said.
On January 22, Hu houkun, Huawei's CEO in office, revealed at the Davos world economic forum group meeting that Huawei has deployed 5g networks in more than 10 countries, and plans to enter another 20 countries in the next 12 months. He predicted that 5g smart phones would be launched in June this year.
