How do two wireless routers bridge? Detailed method of router bridging

Now we can't get online without wireless router and WiFi. If you have many rooms and large home, and one router has bad WiFi signal, you can increase WiFi signal by adding a wireless router bridge. If there are two wireless routers, how to realize wireless bridging? Today I will tell you how to bridge two wireless routers.

When setting up the wireless bridge, we usually call the router that used to be on the Internet the main router and the router that bridged the second router the secondary router. When bridging, please make sure that your main router can access the Internet normally. Otherwise, after the bridging is successful, the secondary router cannot access the Internet.

1、 Determine the wireless parameters of the main router.

1. First, we log in to the main router connected with broadband. Open the browser on the computer, enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, and then click log in to open the router management interface. Then enter the default user name and the password is admin. Or enter the administrator password to log in to the router management interface.

2. In wireless setting and basic setting, set SSID number, channel and fixed channel number.

3. Record the wireless name SSID number, channel and wireless password of the main router.

2、 Set up the second wireless router.

1. Log in to the second wireless router to be bridged. First, connect the secondary router to the power supply, and then connect the computer with the network cable to the LAN port of the secondary router. It can also be connected with WiFi for wireless search on smartphones and laptops. Enter the wireless name and password of the main router, or connect.

Note here: there is no need to connect the primary router and the secondary router with a network cable.

Step 3: set up the bridge in the secondary router.

1. Log in to the setting interface of the secondary router. Enter TP login.cn in the computer browser. Open the login page, enter the administrator password, and log in to the management interface of the sub router.

Note here is tplogin.cn, the new tplink router's setting website. When you set up, you can enter your router's web address to log in.

2. Enable wireless bridging.

Click the application management option to open the wireless bridge settings of the secondary router. Then click the wireless bridge option to open the wireless bridge settings of the secondary router.

3. Run the wireless bridge wizard.

Click the start setting button to enter the setting wizard page of wireless bridge. At this time, you can enter the setup wizard of wireless bridge. Let's follow the setup step by step.

4. Automatic scanning signal.

The new tp link router will automatically scan the nearby wireless signals at this time, just wait a moment.

5. Connect the main router signal.

In the scanned wireless signal results, find the wireless signal of your own main router, click to open the wireless signal of the main router, enter the wireless password of the main router in the password input box that appears, and then click next to connect the signals of the two routers together immediately.

6. Modify the IP address of the secondary router. In order to prevent IP address conflicts between two routers, we must modify the IP address of the input router. The new TP like router will automatically obtain an IP address from the main router. Please record it on the notebook. You need to use this IP address to manage the router in the future.

Note: if your secondary router is an old router, it does not have this function. You need to manually change the IP address of the secondary router. The principles of revision are as follows:

If the IP address of the LAN port of the primary router is 192.168.1.1, the IP address of the secondary router is modified to 192.168.1. (2

7. Set the wireless parameters of the secondary router, that is, set the wireless name and wireless password of the secondary router. The wireless parameters of the secondary router can be set to be the same as or different from the primary router. It is recommended that you set the wireless parameters of the secondary router to be the same as that of the primary router. You can also set it to be different, which is entirely up to you.

8. Turn off the DHCP server of the secondary router. The DHCP server will be automatically shut down after the router is set up with wireless bridge. If your router is an old-fashioned router, it does not have the function of automatic shutdown. You need to find the DHCP server option on the secondary router settings page and click do not enable.

Step 4: check whether the wireless bridge is successful.

1. Enter the new IP address of the secondary router in the browser, enter the administrator password, and log in the setting interface of the secondary router again.

2. In the management interface of the sub router, click application management to find the wireless bridge, and then click wireless bridge. At this time, if you see that the bridge is successful, the router bridge settings are successful.

It should be noted that if your router is old-fashioned. You need to turn on the WDS function for wireless bridging.

1. In wireless settings, check "open WDS" in basic settings. Click the scan button to start scanning the wireless router. Select the SSID number of the main router from the scanned signals, and then click Connect.

2. Set the channel to be the same as the first router channel. At the same time, set the encryption information the same as the first router, and then click save.

3. Shut down the DHCP server. Choose not to enable in the DHCP server. Save, restart the router.

4. Display the WDS status in the wireless status. Indicates that the wireless bridge of the router is successful.

In addition, the method of adding multiple wireless routers is the same.
