A hereditary disease considered medically unfit for marriage
1. One side is patients with various serious dominant genetic diseases
The diseases of patients with this kind of genetic diseases include retinocytoma, myotonic dystrophy, hereditary spastic ataxia, and achondroplasia. The common characteristic of these diseases is that they can cause obvious deformity of fetus, can not study, work and live normally, and can be inherited directly. If one of the parents is ill, about half of the children will get sick, so it's not suitable to have children.
2. Both husband and wife suffer from the same serious recessive genetic disease
If one of the male and the female is recessive genetic patient, the children born will generally only take the pathogenic gene and not be sick; but if both parties have the same recessive genetic disease, the children born will have a high incidence of disease, or even all the diseases. For example, hepatolenticular nuclear disease is a genetic disease of copper metabolism disorder. After the onset of the disease, there are nerve symptoms such as tremor, muscle tension enhancement, mental retardation and liver disease symptoms such as jaundice, ascites, hepatosplenomegaly. This disease is very difficult to treat, so parents with this recessive genetic gene are the best to avoid childbearing.
3. Both husband and wife suffer from much more serious polygenic genetic disease
If parents suffer from schizophrenia, manic depressive psychosis, primary epilepsy, congenital heart disease, cleft lip, cleft palate, diabetes and so on, their children have a higher risk of disease, so it is best not to have children.
