According to media reports, Apple plans to launch three new iPhones this autumn, which will retain the LCD screen at a low price (XR) and use three cameras for the first time.
The Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that the iPhone plans to use some new camera features on the new iPhone, including the more advanced rear three cameras. The company is considering using a three rear camera system on its flagship model in 2019 to replace the iPhone XS max.
The relatively low-end iPhone XRS will also have a successor model, which will continue to use LCD screens, and the single camera at the rear will be upgraded to a dual camera system.
But even so, apple still lags behind its competitors in the number of rear cameras: Samsung has released the galaxy A9 with four rear cameras; Huawei's mate 20 pro and P20 Pro have three rear cameras.
Before that, onleaks, a well-known informant, drew a rendering of the so-called "iPhone Xi", which uses three rear shots, three lenses and a flash to form a square matrix, one of which is a 3D TOF deep sense lens.
