Why do electric cars always run out of electricity in winter? Why electric cars can't run far in win

Nowadays, electric vehicle is one of the most commonly used travel tools in China, which is more convenient to travel. People who often ride electric vehicles will have a kind of confusion, that is, in winter, electric vehicles do not run far away from summer, what is the reason why electric vehicles always lack electricity in winter? Why can't electric cars run far in winter?

Electric vehicles are not far away. In scientific terms, they have weak endurance. Fundamentally, they have insufficient battery capacity. At present, lead-acid batteries are mostly used in electric vehicles. The lead-acid battery can be discharged or charged. Generally, it is made of hard rubber or transparent plastic into a rectangular shell (to prevent the leakage of acid). It is equipped with multi-layer electrode plates. Among them, there is a layer of brown lead dioxide on the positive plate, and the negative plate is spongy metal lead. Both poles are immersed in sulfuric acid solution. Lead acid batteries are generally used in workplaces with good natural ventilation and 15-35 ℃ ambient temperature. The energy stored in the battery is directly proportional to the ambient temperature: when the ambient temperature drops, the energy stored in the battery drops. In the cold area of minus 20 or 30 degrees in the north, electric vehicles may not be used at all due to the low storage capacity of batteries.

From the chemical point of view, when there is chemical reaction inside the lead-acid battery, the surrounding temperature will play an important role: when the temperature is lower than 15 ℃, the charging capacity and storage capacity of the battery are only two thirds or lower than the normal ambient temperature. So in winter, it's normal to think that the electric power of electric vehicles can't be used. It's not far to ride electric vehicles.

Having made this clear, we can take some corresponding measures to protect the battery in winter, so that the electric vehicle can survive the cold winter safely and welcome the arrival of spring.

For the protection of electric vehicle batteries in winter, charging is very important. In the cold winter, when charging the electric vehicle, it is usually placed in a warmer room. In winter, people who ride electric vehicles to work can prepare dual chargers, i.e. one at home and one at work. The first thing to do when you get to the office is to charge. When you get home, charge immediately. In this way, the discharge degree of the battery is shallow, the charging is timely, and the vulcanization is also very light, so the life of the battery will be correspondingly prolonged.

When the temperature is too low in winter, the use time of electric vehicles should be shortened as much as possible. Generally, do not start or brake at a high frequency when riding; if necessary, get off and push when going uphill, because it is very expensive to use electricity when going uphill.

If the electric vehicle is not used in winter, the battery should not be recharged until the next year, but should be recharged every other period of time. In addition, if conditions permit, in cold winter, try not to let electric vehicles' overnight 'in the open. Because, the lead-acid battery is also afraid of cold, it is cold, naturally can't help the electric car run far!
