How to calculate salary for overtime work in 2019 Spring Festival

1. Calculation of monthly salary: the Spring Festival is a legal holiday, and the first, second and third days of the lunar new year are legal holidays and paid holidays. The overtime wage for these three days shall be no less than 300% of the due remuneration. The other four days are off on a compensatory basis, so the other four days are off on a compensatory basis. The overtime pay for these four days is calculated as no less than 200% of the due remuneration.

2. The calculation method of the daily wage base is: divide the monthly wage by the number of days of a month's salary, and the number of days of a month's salary after holiday adjustment is generally 21.75 days.

Take an employee with an agreed monthly salary of 6000 yuan as an example. His daily overtime base is 6000 yuan divided by 21.75 days, i.e. 275.86 yuan. If the enterprise arranges him to work overtime on a statutory holiday, it shall pay him 3 times of 275.86 yuan, i.e. 827.58 yuan.

There are three types of legal holidays in China:
