1、 Tea Cake Storage
1. Teacake disassembled
The tea products packed with double-layer cotton paper are more moisture-proof and odor proof. After unpacking the tea cake, wrap the whole or pried tea with original cotton paper, and then put it into a small ceramic tea pot (it's not recommended to use a purple sand pot to store tea in wet weather, ventilation will absorb water).
2. Unsealed cake tea
In the whole package of tea cake, the traditional packaging of Pu'er tea adopts the traditional packaging of bamboo shoot shell, which is not only suitable for binding, but also conducive to the later transformation. If it has not been disassembled, it is better to keep the original packaging to avoid moisture. If the tea cake has been disassembled, it is recommended to use clean, odorless kraft paper or paper bags for packaging.
Put the packaged or unopened tea in the prepared cartons, put the charcoal in the empty space, and separate the tea with a piece of kraft paper. The box should not be too full to keep 20% of the empty space, and then seal. If the tea is purchased in a whole box, we also suggest to keep the original box to place the tea, because using these original packages not only does not need to worry about the smell, but also is more conducive to the transformation of tea cakes.
Then put these sealed cartons in a dry, odor free and ventilated place. When placing cartons, it's better to lay mats on the ground. If possible, use an iron frame to avoid contact with the ground and moisture.
2、 Temperature and humidity control
1. Close the doors and windows
Although the storage of Pu'er needs timely ventilation, but in this humid weather back to the south, it should be mainly moisture-proof, close the doors and windows to prevent the entry of warm and humid air, so as to avoid condensation of water vapor on the indoor wall and ground.
2. Moisture resistance of charcoal
Putting some activated charcoal in the corner of the room is also a good way to prevent moisture. At the same time, activated charcoal has the function of absorbing peculiar smell, which can make the transformation of Pu'er adapt to the environment. The used activated carbon can be reused after being dried in the sun.
3. Opening ventilation
Even after returning to the south, the time of opening ventilation should be carefully selected. It's better to have some features such as sunny weather, fresh air, cool air, etc. It should be noted that opening the warehouse means opening the door to ensure air circulation, rather than opening the window (this will increase the humidity).
