Why is down suit not suitable for dry cleaning?
At present, most of the domestic brand dry cleaners use totally enclosed environmental protection dry cleaners to dry clean clothes. The solvent used in the dry cleaners is tetrachloroethylene. Tetrachloroethylene is a colorless and transparent liquid with the smell similar to ether. It can dissolve many substances, such as rubber, resin, fat, etc. The filling material of down clothing is mainly down. There is natural oil on the surface of down, which belongs to fat. When washing down clothing with a dry cleaner, tetrachloroethylene will dissolve the oil on the surface of down, making the feather brittle and broken, losing the fluffy feeling, and affecting the warmth retention.
In addition, most down jackets are made of coated fabric to protect them from rain and wind. The process of coating fabric is to use solvent or water to dissolve the required coating particles (such as PU glue, a / C glue, PVC, PE glue, etc.) into salivary shape, and then apply them on the fabric (such as cotton, polyester, nylon and other base materials) in one or some way, and then through the fixation of temperature in the oven, to form a uniform covering rubber on the surface of the fabric, while tetrachloroethylene will dissolve rubber Resin, after dry cleaning with a dry cleaner, the coating is easy to fall off, making the surface of the down jacket peeling and turning into flower, aging the cloth. Therefore, no matter what kind of down jacket is made of, it is not suitable for dry cleaning, only for water cleaning.
How to wash down jacket correctly?
Down clothes should not be washed with alkaline substances, stirred by washing machine or rubbed by hand, twisted or baked with open fire. The correct cleaning methods are as follows:
First, if the down jacket is not too dirty, it can be cleaned locally. Spray with the special treatment agent of down jacket on the collar, cuffs, front and other oil stains, and then rub the fabric at the oil stains back and forth for a few times. After rubbing, it will volatilize quickly without leaving traces. However, it should be noted that some fade prone fabrics or coated fabrics should be tested in an inconspicuous place to prove that they will not fade or the coating will not fall off before use.
Second, if the down jacket is too dirty, it can only be washed with integral water. First, lay down the down jacket, spray it with cleaning agent on the collar, cuffs, front and other oil stains, place it for 10 to 15 minutes, then soak the down jacket in cold water for 20 minutes, pour about 100ml of down jacket detergent into the water with the temperature of 20-30 ℃ and mix well, then put it into the down jacket that is pulled out from the cold water and squeezed out of the water, soak it for 5 to 10 minutes. Then take out the down from the washing solution, lay it on a clean platform, and use a soft brush to dip the washing solution from inside to outside.
After cleaning, put the clothes in the detergent and wash them for several times, then rinse them in 30 ℃ warm water for 2 times, and then rinse them in clear water for 3 times. Finally, wrap the rinsed down with a dry bath towel and gently suck out the water, then dry it in a ventilated place. After drying out, gently pat the surface with a small stick to restore the original fluffy softness of the down jacket.

1. It is better to use a special washing machine
Such as washing and drying with household washing machine, it is easy to lead to uneven thickness of the filler, making the clothes out of shape, affecting the beauty and warmth retention. The special down jacket is used for offline washing, because its inner barrel has a large diameter, and the stains are removed by the wrestling force, and the force is even, so the down jacket will not be deformed.
2. Rinse with water temperature of 30 ℃
First, soak the down jacket in cold water for 20 minutes to make the inside and outside of the down jacket fully wet. Dissolve the special detergent for down jacket into the warm water at 30 ℃, immerse the down jacket in it for a quarter of an hour, and then brush it gently with a soft brush. Rinse also need to use warm water, can be conducive to detergent fully dissolved in water, can make down clothes rinse cleaner.
3. Detergent concentration should not be too high
Generally, it's better to put 100ml detergent into two washbasins. If the concentration is too high, it's difficult to rinse. The detergent left in down will affect the fluffy degree of down and greatly reduce the warmth retention.
4. It is better to use neutral detergent
Neutral detergent is the least harmful to the fabric and down. If alkaline detergent is used, the residual detergent will cause damage to the down clothing if it is not rinsed clean, and it is easy to leave white traces on the surface of the clothing, affecting the appearance. To remove the residual alkaline detergent, add two spoonfuls of vinegar or neutralizing acid powder into the warm water after two rinses, soak the down jacket for a while and then rinse it. Vinegar or neutralizing acid powder can neutralize the alkaline detergent.
5. Do not wring and do not expose to the sun
After the down coat is washed, it cannot be wring dry. It is necessary to squeeze out the water or take off most of the water with the washing machine, then lay it flat or hang it to dry. It is forbidden to expose it to the sun. After drying, it is necessary to pat it gently or dry it with a special dryer.
